Prints vs Reproductions

Prints versus Reproductions

The focus of our second Awareness Campaign is to educate artists, arts patrons, and the public about the complicated issue of prints versus reproductions. We are staging this campaign in phases; the first was the publication of Reproducing Originality, by artist member Michael Pittman, in the 2007/2008 Fall/Winter issue of the VANL-CARFAC News. To continue this awareness campaign, we published an extensive glossary of terms related to printmaking and reproduction in our Spring/Summer 2008 issue of the News, originally compiled by former research assistant Jennifer Batton.

To read Michael Pittman’s article, see page 3 of the Fall/Winter News.
