The Communications Committee works closely with the Executive Director to ensure that VANL-CARFAC provides as much timely and pertinent information to its membership and the general public as possible. We have several different information resources which you can avail of, such as DESTINATIONLibrary, a collaboration with Eastern Edge Gallery, which contains books on all aspects of visual art practice, as well as current contemporary art magazines and periodicals, CARFAC National and Affiliate publications, and a selection of exhibition catalogues. Destination Library is located in Eastern Edge Gallery, 72 Harbour Drive, St. John’s. Members and non-members alike are welcome to browse through the collection in the in-house reading room.
We issue a weekly e-bulletin via email listing information on local, national and international art news, exhibition listings, submission calls, awards and grant programs, residencies, job opportunities, art classes and other items of interest to visual artists. To subscribe to this valuable information resource you must become a member of VANL-CARFAC.
